PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa says Zimbabwe should embrace technologies from countries like China, which are ahead in technological advancements.
The Head of State was speaking after touring the Build Your Dreams (BYD) auto headquarters in Shenzhen and the Huawei Headquarters.
The President’s first stop was at BYD, where he was taken through their latest range of electric vehicles.
The company has 30 000 patents and continues to make innovations.
At the Huawei Headquarters, Zimbabwe and the technological giant signed a Memorandum of Understanding to foster cooperation.
The President also spoke on the strong relations between Zimbabwe and China that date back to the 1960s, when China trained the first group of guerillas who fought the British settler regime.
He said the younger generation must ensure those ties are maintained.
