THE ZIFA Appeals Committee has delivered its judgment in the dispute between Herentals Queens and Kwekwe Queens, awarding three points to Kwekwe Queens after challenges over a match that was scheduled for April 26.
The reigning league champions, Herentals Queens, were found guilty of several violations, including last-minute venue changes, and were fined US$700.
The Appeals Committee allowed Kwekwe Queens’ appeal, set aside the replay order, and awarded the match to Kwekwe Queens on a 3-nil scoreline.
The ruling brings an end to the protracted dispute and is expected to impact the Women’s Premier Soccer League standings.
