ZIMBABWEAN international Jordan Zemura is likely to miss the upcoming Four-Nations Invitational Tournament scheduled for the end of this month after his Italian club, Udinese Calcio, confirmed that the versatile player has suffered a hamstring injury.

The injury raises doubts about his availability for the tournament, which will be held in Botswana, dealing a potential setback for Zimbabwe’s national team ahead of the regional competition.

Zemura picked up the injury during the final training session ahead of Udinese’s Serie A match against Atalanta on Saturday.

In a medical update, the club confirmed Zemura sustained a hamstring problem and will be reassessed after a couple of weeks, casting doubt over his availability for the upcoming international assignment.

Zemura was expected to play a key role for the Warriors at the Four-Nations tournament scheduled from March 23 to 31, in Francistown, Botswana.

Zimbabwe will battle it out against regional rivals, Zambia, Botswana and Malawi.

The tournament is expected to give the Warriors’ technical department an opportunity to work on combinations ahead of upcoming competitive assignments.
