THE 115th Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) has officially commenced in Harare, drawing exhibitors and participants from across the nation eager to explore growth opportunities across multiple sectors of the economy.
The showcase, which runs from Monday to Saturday, has seen a notable increase in participation from all economic sectors, including top provincial farmers. Exhibitors are keen to leverage the exposition to highlight their goods and services while engaging in business-to-business networking.
“There is expected to be a lot of interest during the show, driven by major milestones in the farming industry,” a livestock exhibitor, Mrs Catherine Murwira said.
“I have come to exhibit and attend the business conferences, which are ideal for helping me identify growth opportunities,” an industrial exhibitor, Dr Michael Kandukutu noted.
The key thrust is on maximising returns, with a focus on attracting customers and generating the much-needed income,” a fresh produce exhibitor, Ms Ivy Muvirimi said.
“There is a lot of interest coming from the value chains, no wonder we are here to exhibit so that we also identify challenges and chart the way forward,” a Shurugwi farmer, Mrs Shuvai Matura added.
With over 12 international exhibitors participating, entertainment events lined up, business, farming, and education events on offer, the annual event is expected to provide a diversified set of opportunities to the exhibitors.
Expectations are high that Zimbabwe’s premium farming showcase will yield its intended goals on agricultural development.
