ZANU PF remains focused on driving growth through a people-centred development approach, leveraging Zimbabwe’s rich liberation history and heritage to propel the nation forward, the President and First Secretary of ZANU PF, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa said.

The President who was addressing the ZANU PF Politburo meeting at the party’s headquarters in Harare this Wednesday further indicated that the country’s rich liberation history and heritage will propel the nation forward, fostering independence, sovereignty, and unity.

“Our rich liberation history and heritage are instruments for development. This has led our Party to leap forward from one victory to another while enabling the citizens of our motherland, Zimbabwe, to express themselves as independent, sovereign, and united people,” the President said.

“In light of this, ZANU PF remains preoccupied with achieving growth through upholding the people-centred development thrust. It is, therefore, against this backdrop that we continue to take pride in the remarkable success milestones realised in infrastructure, agriculture, mining, tourism, human capital development and ICTs, among other sectors.

“However, as we do so, let us continue to work hard, act with unwavering unity, forge ahead with fortitude and recommit to ensuring that uplifting the livelihoods of the people of Zimbabwe remains at the epicentre of our Party’s Agenda. To this end, the implementation of our Conference outcomes, policies, decisions, programmes and projects should continue to demonstrate the progressive nation-building personality of our colossal mass Party, ZANU PF.

“ZANU PF will continue to step up the development of synergies to facilitate empowerment opportunities for the youths and women,” he said.

President Mnangagwa recognised outstanding successes within the agricultural sector, particularly an anticipated bumper harvest supported by favourable weather conditions.

He also acknowledged achievements across key sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, mining, tourism, and information communications technology (ICT).

President Mnangagwa reaffirmed the party’s commitment to unity, peace, and development, urging that these principles must be actively embodied in all endeavors. He stressed that with unified efforts, Zimbabwe can tackle its challenges, modernise its economy, and restore national dignity.
