ZANU PF Deputy Secretary for National Security, Cde Tendai Chirau, is leading a five-member delegation to the People’s Republic of China for a three-week international exchange workshop.
Organised by the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the workshop, themed “Shaping the Shared Future,” is catering for leaders under the age of 45 from across the developing world.
The Zimbabwean delegation comprises ZANU PF Central Committee member Cde Cecelia Verenga, Headlands legislator, Cde Walter Mapfumo, Women’s Quota legislator for Rushinga Constituency, Cde Barbra Thompson, and Cde Chinyanga from the Ministry of Youth.
They join counterparts from Namibia, Lesotho, Mauritius and Nigeria.
The programme features a diverse range of topics, including China’s modernisation trajectory, Artificial Intelligence, poverty alleviation, ecological civilisation, new media, and rural revitalisation. Participants will take part in both lectures and field visits designed to provide practical exposure and foster cross-country collaboration.
