THE ruling ZANU PF party affiliates have been implored to collaborate with communities in their programmes to advance the attainment of an upper middle-income society by 2030.
The Boys DzaMdara Bulawayo Metropolitan Chapter was launched Friday evening as the number of ZANU PF affiliates continues to grow.
“As Bulawayo youths, we are rising to the occasion to work for the President and the development of our province,” Bulawayo Provincial chairperson of Boys DzaMdara said.
“We have decided to bring together all young entrepreneurs and push for the realisation of Vision 2030 as youths,” ZANU PF Bulawayo Province Secretary for Administration, Cde Raymond Mutomba said.
The launch saw the ruling party imploring all affiliates to work within the parameters of the party to mobilise new members who will bring value, with community involvement being cited as key to their growth.
“You should work within the parameters of the party and mobilise more new members for the ruling party ZANU PF,” Bulawayo Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Judith Ncube said.
“As we labour to achieve Vision 2030, every citizen has a role to play towards transforming our country into an upper middle-income economy. Vision 2030 is more than just a policy document, it is a call to action, a roadmap that seeks to uplift our economy and improve our living standards positioning Zimbabwe as a competitive and prosperous nation. Let us involve our communities and come up with programmes that empower youths,” she said.
The ruling party-led government is on a drive to improve livelihoods through the implementation of various development projects which include the construction of clinics, schools, roads and sinking of boreholes under the devolution programme.
