THE Zimbabwe national handball teams’ Under 18 and Under 20 boys are now in Lusaka, Zambia for the Zone Six regional championships which begin this Tuesday.
The teams left Harare this Monday morning and will join seven other countries battling for honours at the Olympic Youth Development Centre.
In the U-18 category, Zimbabwe is in Group B alongside South Africa, Malawi and Eswatini.
The Zimbabwe U-20 team is in Group A, which also features Lesotho, South Africa and Namibia.
Both teams are in action this Tuesday, with the U-18 side playing Malawi, while the U-20 team clashes against South Africa.
The Zimbabwean teams have been on a 10-day intensive training camp in Harare as part of final preparations for the games.
The Zone Six Championships serve as a key regional competition under the African Handball Confederation.
Zimbabwe’s teams last competed in the event in 2024.
