SIX people were killed in a road traffic accident along the Harare-Chirundu Road Thursday afternoon, the Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed.
The fatal crash occurred at the 110-kilometre peg near Heroes Acre.
In a statement, police said the number of people injured had not yet been established, with investigations still underway.
“The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred this afternoon on 16/07/2026, at the 110-kilometre peg along the Harare-Chirundu Road near Heroes Acre, in which six people were killed,” the police said.
“The number of injured victims is still to be established. More details to be released in due course.”
Police did not immediately disclose the circumstances surrounding the crash or the identities of those who died.
