A 29-year-old woman from Sally Mugabe Heights in Harare has been arrested on allegations of assaulting her husband fatally over a dollar.
Prisca Takaza allegedly stabbed her husband, Liberty Karikoga (39) twice on the right chest and shoulder with a kitchen knife during the argument on Wednesday last week.
The now-deceased Karikoga is said to have bought a gas tank top for US$5 instead of buying a cheaper one for US$4 as instructed by his wife.
Harare provincial deputy police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Faith Mapisa, confirmed the case, stating that Prisca has been arrested and is facing murder charges.
