Warriors gear up for friendlies against Burkina Faso and Niger

THE Warriors are set to take on Burkina Faso and Niger in two friendly matches next month.

According to a statement released by the Zimbabwe Football Association this Tuesday, the two matches will be played in Morocco, with the match against the Burkinabés set for Casablanca on the 6th followed by a clash against Niger four days later.

The two matches will be used by the technical team to prepare for upcoming World Cup Qualifiers and Africa Cup of Nations set for December in Morocco.

Burkina Faso are ranked 11th on the continent while they are 62nd on the FIFA rankings whereas the Warriors are 33rd on the CAF rankings and a distant 122 on global rankings.

The two friendlies will be the first time that Zimbabwe is utilising the FIFA international window in more than five years.
