VP Mohadi pays tribute to the liberation struggle icons in Zambia

VICE President Cde Kembo Mohadi has embarked on a tour of historic sites in Zambia that played a pivotal role in Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle, paying tribute to the men and women whose courage and sacrifice shaped the nation’s path to independence.

The Vice President’s first stop was the Chilenje House, the former residence of Dr Kenneth Kaunda, which remains a symbol of the unwavering solidarity extended by the Zambian people.

From Chilenje House, Vice President Mohadi proceeded to the Chitepo House, it is at this house that the revered nationalist, Cde Hebert Chitepo, breathed his last after a petrol bomb attack.

From Chitepo House, Cde Mohadi will now visit the Nampundwe and Freedom Camps that lie on the outskirts of Lusaka.
