ZANU PF has launched its campaign for the Victoria Falls Municipality Ward 9, 10 and 11 by-elections, urging residents to elect candidates committed to improving service delivery and strengthening local governance.
The campaign launch sets the tone for a people-centred campaign focused on service delivery, transparency and accountable local administration.
Addressing party supporters in Victoria Falls, ZANU PF Matabeleland North Provincial Chairperson Cde Richard Moyo said the by-election offers residents an opportunity to choose leaders committed to inclusive development.
“Residents should vote for ZANU PF because the party has demonstrated its commitment to improving service delivery, promoting transparency and ensuring good governance that benefits every citizen. Constitution Amendment Act Number 3 is about strengthening governance and ensuring stability as the country continues implementing its development programmes. We encourage residents to support leaders who will work within that national vision and deliver tangible results for their communities.”
The rally also marked the formal introduction of Victoria Falls Deputy Mayor Councillor Lungile Nyoni, who recently crossed the floor from the opposition to ZANU PF, with party supporters welcoming the move as strengthening unity and development in the resort city.
The Victoria Falls Municipality by-elections for Wards 9, 10 and 11 will be held on August 1, following the recall of the previous office bearers.
