US$150 special Presidential bonus for civil servants ahead of the festive season

CIVIL servants will receive a Special Presidential Bonus of US$150 starting in November, in recognition of their service and dedication, the Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Honourable Edgar Moyo, has announced.

Addressing the media in Harare this Thursday, Minister Moyo said the once-off bonus granted by President Emmerson Mnangagwa demonstrates government’s ongoing commitment to improving the welfare of its workforce and pensioners.

“To provide festive season relief and recognise dedicated service, government will pay a once off Special Presidential Bonus of US$150 for all civil servants which will be disbursed in two equal instalments of US$75 in November and December 2025. This will be in addition to regular annual bonus and salaries,” he said.

Minister Moyo also added that government has restored the vehicle rebate scheme to 2022 benefit levels.

“The civil servants’ vehicle rebate is being fully restored to 2022 benefit levels, rewarding long service and commitment as reflected in Statutory Instrument 124 of 2022 with effect from December 1, 2025,” he said.

“As part of the non-monetary incentives, Governmentid also promoting home ownership through the identified 26 000 housing stands; 20 000 in Harare and 6 000 in Bulawayo, with further allocations planned across the country,” the minister added.

Plans are also underway to revitalise Premier Service Medical Aid Society (PSMAS) as part of government’s effort to ensure access to health care services for civil servants.
