GOVERNMENT’S inclusive development approach has seen the Tshino community in Tsholotsho benefitting a secondary school that was commissioned this Tuesday.
As the country approaches Heroes and Defence Forces Days, different communities are benefitting from the government’s infrastructural development projects as part of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces Community Assistance Programme which precedes the Defence Forces Day commemorations.
The community welcomed the development for promoting education in the area.
“This school came at the right time because we were travelling a long distance,” said one of the beneficiaries.
Another added, “We really thank the government for such an initiative, we can now study well.”
The traditional leadership appreciated the gesture.
“We thank the President for considering us in development programs,” said Chief Matupula.
Deputy Minister of Defence, Brigadier General (Rtd) Honourable Levi Mayihlome said developments being carried out by the Second Republic countrywide are a fulfilment of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030.
“The building of schools in remote areas like this is a way of trying to level the playing ground in Education delivery as needed by the President,” he said.
The advent of the Second Republic has seen previously marginalised communities benefitting through infrastructure development, with schools, clinics and roads being constructed.
