THOUSANDS of civil servants, led by their permanent secretaries, marched in Harare demonstrating against the illegal sanctions imposed against Zimbabwe by the West and her allies.
Today, the 25th of October, marks the SADC Anti-Sanctions Day as declared by regional leaders.
The event was led by Vice President General (Retired) Dr Constantino Chiwenga.
It is marked under the theme,‘Harnessing the Youth for Accelerated Socio-economic Development in the Fight Against Sanctions.’
Also present to mark the day was the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Frederick Shava, who said support by the region and the African Union has been monumental in spearheading the country’s developmental thrust despite the imposition of the illegal embargo.
