Zimbabwe and Afghanistan will have everything to play for in the T20 series decider set for this Saturday after the visitors beat the Chevrons by 50 runs to draw the series level at one-all.
Darwish Rasooli made his first international fifty, while Naveen-ul-Haq and Rashid Khan each took three wickets as Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe by 50 runs this Friday to level their T20 series with one match remaining.
Zimbabwe earlier on bowled well, dismissing Afghanistan for 153 runs, but failed to chase the score.
Chevrons opener Brian Bennett struck 27, but once he departed, leaving the hosts struggling at 49 for four, only captain Sikandar Raza who hit 35 runs proved a match for the Afghan attack.
Just one of the other Zimbabwe batters, first-match hero Tashinga Musekiwa reached double figures as Zimbabwe were dismissed for 103 in 17 overs.
“It was a bad day in the office, but we can’t carry that into tomorrow’s match we need to be at our best and stick to the processes if we want to win the series,” Musekiwa said.
The two teams meet this Saturday for the T20 decider at Harare Sports Club.
