A star-studded line up of artists has been confirmed for the inaugural Oliver Mtukudzi International Festival of Arts set for Norton this Saturday.

Revered musicians including Jah Prayzah, Killer T, Gemma Griffiths, Selmor Mtukudzi, Andy Muridzo, Feli Nandi and the group Mookomba are set to perform at the two-day fete aimed at honouring national hero and music icon, Dr Oliver Mtukudzi.

The festival, which coincides with the late music giant’s birthday, is among other initiatives meant to keep the legacy of the international acclaimed artist alive.

American performer Aaron Myers is also expected in the country for the same event with offsprings of Mtukudzi’s Pakare Paye Arts Centre, Mbeu and Sarungano also joining the list of performers.

Dr Mtukudzi died in January 2019 at the age of 66 with more than 60 albums to his name.
