AMERICAN hip-hop heavyweight Rick Ross is set to return to Zimbabwe later this month, headlining the “Hustle and Heritage” concert in Harare.

The Maybach Music boss will take to the stage at the Harare Hippodrome on the 28th, marking his second performance in the country following his debut show at the Harare International Conference Centre in 2022.

The event forms part of birthday celebrations for Mabvuku legislator Pedzisai Scott Sakupwanya, who confirmed the development on his official Facebook page, amplifying anticipation around what is shaping up to be one of the biggest entertainment events of the year.

For many millennials, the concert carries nostalgic significance. Ross rose to global fame in 2006 with his breakout hit Hustlin’, a track that defined an era and cemented his place in hip-hop culture.

As founder of Maybach Music Group, the rapper built a brand synonymous with ambition, luxury and entrepreneurial drive. His commanding delivery, cinematic production style and “boss” persona have influenced a generation that views hip hop not only as music but as a lifestyle and business blueprint.

This year’s “Hustle and Heritage” concert will also showcase a cross-continental blend of sounds. Nigerian Afrobeats star Omah Lay is set to share the stage with Zimbabwean favourites Takura, Shashl, Freeman HKD, Feli Nandi, ExQ, Tamy Moyo and Saintfloew.

With international and local stars on one stage, Harare is poised for an electrifying night celebrating hustle, heritage and the global power of hip-hop culture.
