HARARE giants CAPS United maintained their perfect start to the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season after edging Herentals FC 1-0 at Rufaro Stadium on Saturday.
Buoyed by their 2-1 victory over Agama FC last weekend, Makepekepe produced another strong performance, with Obriel Chirinda scoring the decisive goal to secure maximum points.
The win lifts CAPS United to the top of the league table with six points from two matches, marking a dream start to the campaign.
Elsewhere in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, MWOS FC shared the spoils with TelOne FC in a 1-1 draw.
Champions Simba Bhora were held to a goalless draw by debutants FC Hunters, while FC Platinum defeated Manica Diamonds 2-0.
In other results, ZPC Kariba suffered a 1-0 defeat to newcomers Hadrock FC, while Chicken Inn secured a 2-0 victory over Triangle United.
Action continues on Sunday with the much-anticipated Battle of Zimbabwe clash between Dynamos FC and Highlanders FC at Rufaro Stadium.
Elsewhere, Agama FC will take on Bulawayo Chiefs at Wadzanai Stadium.
