Story by Abigirl Tembo

PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa is at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) to officially launch the Presidential Youth Scheme, which aims to empower young people by providing education, skills, and employment opportunities.

As part of the initiative, the President also toured mining and agricultural equipment that will be distributed under the Farm Mechanisation Programme to boost Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector.

Additionally, Dairibord Holdings Limited and Varun Beverages donated pushcarts which will help young entrepreneurs kick-start their businesses.

The initiatives are under a revolving fund scheme which promotes sustainability by requiring beneficiaries to repay the funds, ensuring continuous support for youth initiatives.

It also offers training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help young entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
