PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa who is also the Chancellor of the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) is set to confer degrees to 780 graduands across the institution’s five schools.
The five comprise of, The School of Engineering and Technology, School of Industrial Sciences and Technology, School of Information Science and Technology, School of Health Sciences, and School of Business and Management Sciences.
The President has commissioned the Tram-Urban Mass Transportation System Proof of Concept and Research Centre at the institute.
The Tram is a system that is expected to complement the country’s mass transportation system and is part of the education 5.0 model.
After commissioning the Tram, President Mnangagwa expressed satisfaction with the project, saying it feeds directly into the education 5.0 model.
