PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has set the 23rd of August as the date for the country’s general election.
The President announced the date through a government gazette published this Wednesday.
The nomination court will sit on the 21st of June, with candidates who will successfully file their papers set to contest the general election on the 23rd of August.
If there is no outright winner in the Presidential election, a runoff will be held on the 2nd of October.
The general election will see Zimbabweans voting for the President, Legislators and Councillors.
