PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has met with representatives of the diaspora community residing in Japan.
The meeting saw the President briefing them on Zimbabwe’s strides in ensuring food security. He said his government will continue to ensure that the agriculture sector is fully capacitated to ensure there is an adequate food supply throughout the country.
The strides being put in place to ensure this happens include building of dams as well as resuscitating and setting up of new irrigation infrastructure.
President Mnangagwa assured the diaspora community that the government is ready to assist them and reminded them that they too have a significant role in the rebuilding of Zimbabwe’s economy.
