SADC chairperson, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who visited the regional bloc’s headquarters in Gaborone, Botswana, this Friday, has implored staff at the Secretariat to pursue hard and honest work for the benefit of the more than 300 million people of the region.
President Mnangagwa also said the construction of the Rapid Response Force’s Logistics Depot in Botswana will go a long way in ending violence in the region.
He spoke during the ground-breaking ceremony of a US$45 million complex at Rasesa North in Gaborone.
Meanwhile, the President returned home Friday evening and was received at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by Vice President General (Retired) Dr Constantino Chiwenga.
Others present to receive the President include the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Dr Jenfan Muswere, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Mr Nick Mangwana.
