PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has sent a congratulatory message to Tanzania’s President-elect, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, following her victory in elections held on October 29.
In a statement, President Mnangagwa said her election testifies to the trust and confidence that the people of the United Republic of Tanzania have in her visionary leadership and in the policies of her Chama Cha Mapinduzi party.
He further reiterated Zimbabwe’s commitment to work closely with Tanzania in strengthening and deepening the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity between the two countries and peoples.
Tanzania went to the polls last week, with the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi party winning with a landslide.
