President Emmerson Mnangagwa has described the First Lady, Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa as a hard working woman following her studies at the Midlands State University which saw her attain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
He was speaking during an event to celebrate the First Lady’s educational achievements held at her maiden home in Chiweshe.
President Mnangagwa said through the course of their marriage, the First Lady has continued to work hard to further her education.
The Head of State encouraged all who are pursuing their studies, noting that no feat is impossible to achieve when one is determined to work hard.
Turning to the 2024-2025 summer cropping season, President Mnangagwa said the government will assist rural communities with seed and called on villagers to play their part in ensuring food security.
He also emphasised that the government allocation of maize seed is not for sale and is given free of charge.
As the festive season approaches, President Mnangagwa used the platform to urge all road users to exercise extreme caution as they drive on the country’s roads.
