President Chapo concludes State Visit after opening 65th ZITF

VISITING Mozambique President Daniel Chapo has concluded his two-day state visit to Zimbabwe after officially opening the 65th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).

President Chapo departed from Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport in Bulawayo this Thursday evening.

He was seen off by President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Vice President Colonel (Retired) Kembo Mohadi, government officials and service chiefs, marking the end of a visit that solidified the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.

The visit, which culminated in the official opening of the 65th edition of the ZITF, was marked by strong affirmations of bilateral cooperation and historical ties between the two nations.

The state banquet held in his honour served as a platform to reaffirm the enduring friendship and shared history between the two countries, with both sides emphasising their commitment to mutual prosperity.

Following the departure of President Chapo, President Emmerson Mnangagwa also departed from Bulawayo, heading back to Harare.

The state visit and the ZITF opening provided a valuable opportunity for both Zimbabwe and Mozambique to explore new avenues for collaboration and strengthen existing partnerships.
