A potentially exciting encounter is on the cards in the Heart Women Super League (HWSL) as ambitious Platinum Royals host defending champions Herentals Queens at Greasham Grounds in Zvishavane this Wednesday.
Fresh from their participation in the CAF Women Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers in Malawi, Herentals Queens are eager to catch up on their games in hand and revive their title defence.
Currently fourth with 40 points, Herentals Queens are 11 points behind log leaders Black Rhinos although they have three games in hand.
They travel to Zvishavane this Wednesday to face Platinum Royals, who are just a place behind them with 30 points.
With only seven points separating the two teams, the match promises to be a thriller and has the potential to be a turning point in the league.
Herentals Queens had a fairly easy weekend, securing a 4-0 win over struggling ZRP Harare Queens to put pressure back on the leading pack.
On the other hand, Platinum Royals will be seeking to exploit Herentals’ recent fatigue and secure a crucial win and challenge for a place in the top four.
