BEAUTY queen, Pauline Marere has begun preparations for the 16th edition of the Miss Supranational pageant set for June 27 in Poland.

The ravishing beauty, who was crowned Miss Supranational Zimbabwe at a ceremony held in Polokwane, South Africa a week ago, is set to battle it out with more than 80 beauty queens from around the world in Małopolska Poland.

Pauline, who is no stranger in the pageantry world after bagging the Miss Pan African Queen title in 2019 and was the second runner-up at the Miss Environment International in 2023, said she will leverage the experience gained at these pageants.

“Based on my previous pageants, I have learned that as an individual, you need to embrace yourself and you need to be confident. It does not matter the type of pageant that you are going to. Sometimes you compete with people who have done bigger pageants, but you need to believe in yourself and you need to be confident all the time.

“I am working on a project which is called the ‘From the Grounds Up’ project and I am currently focusing on providing free cleft surgeries for babies and adults around Zimbabwe and I am working hand in hand with the Global Cleft and Cranial Foundation together with the Ministry of Health and Child Care. I am also working towards preparing my wardrobe which includes my national costume, my evening gowns and everything else that is required on the wardrobe list,” she said.

Harashta Zahra of Indonesia, who is the reigning Miss Supranational, will hand over the crown to her successor at the same event.
