THE trial of former Cabinet minister Walter Mzembi, who is facing charges of criminal abuse of office, is set to continue in Harare this Tuesday.
The State is expected to call its fourth witness, who was reportedly out of Harare when the trial commenced last week.
Mzembi is accused of donating four LED television sets valued at US$200 000 to United Family International Church, Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries and the Zion Christian Church without Treasury approval.
According to State papers, the charges relate to a total of US$2 million allocated by Treasury to the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality in 2010.
The funds were earmarked for the purchase of television sets for 40 fan parks to promote tourism during the 2010 FIFA World Cup hosted by South Africa.
