ZIMBABWEAN combat sports athlete, Justice Mutyoramwendo, made an electrifying kickboxing debut at Saturday’s Clash of Warriors II event in Johannesburg, scoring a stunning first-round technical knockout over South Africa’s Frank Cato.

The 26-year-old, a former African karate champion, executed his team’s precise strategy to dominate Cato in under three minutes, delivering powerful, decisive strikes.

Following his triumph, Mutyoramwendo expressed both gratitude and ambition.

“I’m overjoyed after my gold medal win in South Africa. It is not by my strength, but by God’s will, and this medal is not mine alone, it also belongs to the country, because it is an honour to represent your country nationally. I am hopeful that this will not be my last gold medal win. In my next fight, I promise another gold medal and that I will remain dominating. I want to take this opportunity to thank my family and my coach,” he said.

Mutyoramwendo is already gearing up for his next bout in August, with his professional debut anticipated in December continuing a momentum that could redefine his career.
