POPULAR musician and ‘Saina’ hitmaker Tatenda Pinjisi has tragically died from injuries sustained in a car accident that occurred in Norton on Friday.
The accident claimed the lives of two other band members and left three more battling for their lives in hospital.
Pinjisi passed away on Sunday night, two days after the devastating crash that happened while the group was en route to Kadoma for a scheduled performance.
His brother, Howard Pinjisi, confirmed the heartbreaking news and said funeral arrangements would be shared in due course.
“They had an accident on their way to Kadoma for a show on Friday. They had a head-on collision and three people died on the spot. Naison Tembo bass guitarist and P rosper the drummer died on the spot together with a woman they had given a lift,” he said.
Mourners are gathered in Ruwa as they prepare to take off to Mutoko where he is set to be buried later this week.
