MISS Tourism Zimbabwe, Nomqhele Sisa Nkomo, has left Harare for Malaysia where she will proudly represent the nation at the prestigious Miss Tourism International Pageant, scheduled to run from October 4 to 20.

Speaking to ZBC News at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on Thursday, the Bulawayo-born beauty queen expressed both excitement and a deep sense of responsibility as she prepares to carry the Zimbabwean flag onto the global stage.

“This Pageant is not just about beauty, it is about being an ambassador of my country. I am going there to sell the brand Zimbabwe to showcase the rich culture that we have, while selling destination Zimbabwe to others. I aim to share the story of a country where tradition and modernity beautifully coexist, and where every visitor leaves with a piece of our warmth and resilience.

“On the international stage, I plan to embody this spirit through my presence, culture, and advocacy for sustainable tourism. By presenting Zimbabwe as both a cultural treasure and a thriving tourism destination, I hope to inspire curiosity, admiration, and a renewed interest in visiting our beautiful nation,” she said.
