OVER 4000 victims of the devastating fire at Mbare Musika are set to receive assistance through loans and appropriate trading infrastructure following the government’s intervention.
This emerged during the Post Cabinet Briefing in Harare this Tuesday, where the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Dr Jenfan Muswere confirmed that the government has come up with a roadmap to assist the affected traders.
The assistance is in the form of loans and availing appropriate trading infrastructure.
The government has also cushioned over 28 000 recipients from food shortages in urban areas through cash disbursements as part of its food deficit mitigation programme in view of the El Nino-induced drought.
Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister, Honourable July Moyo also spelt out additional relief measures to assist those facing food shortages nationwide.
In order to improve the country’s air connectivity as a prime business and tourism market, the Cabinet adopted the Air Services Development Plan that seeks to develop new air routes.
In pursuit of the Second Republic’s culture of servant leadership and efficiency in the public service, a citizen satisfaction survey and baseline survey initiated by President Emmerson Mnangagwa showed improved work culture and transformation.
Cabinet also approved the Health Professions Bill which seeks to enhance modern health service delivery.
