ZIMBABWE sprinter, Tapiwanashe Makarawu will be up against global icons this afternoon as he competes in the 200m final at the ongoing World Athletics championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Ahead of the event, the 25-year-old Makarawu says he is not under pressure to prove anything.
Makarawu qualified for the final after an impressive sprint that saw him crossing the line 19.98 seconds in a semi-final hit in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday.
He makes it back-to-back world tournament finals after a sixth-place finish in the 200m event at Paris Olympics last year.
America’s Noah Lyles, Jamaica’s Bryan Levell, Letsile Tebogo of Botswana and Sinesipho Dambile of South Africa will also compete in the final.
