ZIMBABWE’s top cricket umpire, Langton Rusere, has been selected to officiate at the ICC T20 World Cup, marking another significant milestone in his distinguished officiating career.
Rusere’s appointment places him among the elite match officials trusted to handle the global showpiece.
The seasoned umpire has consistently featured in high-profile ICC events in recent years, earning recognition for his professionalism and consistency at the highest level of the game.
In 2018, he became the first Zimbabwean to stand in a major tournament final when he officiated at the Women’s T20 final between England and Australia.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe will also be represented in the referees’ panel, with Andy Pycroft set to serve as a match referee at the same tournament.
The T20 World Cup starts on February 7 in India and Sri Lanka.
