THE Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team, the Lady Chevrons are set to take part in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier from August 31 to September 6, in Windhoek, Namibia.
The qualifiers will feature eight teams competing for two slots at the Global Qualifier that will act as the final qualification round for the Women’s T20 World Cup.
The Lady Chevrons will face seven other countries, namely, hosts Namibia, powerhouse Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Sierra Leone and Rwanda.
The tournament will be held at the newly built FNB Cricket Ground and the HP Oval.
Zimbabwe leave for Namibia this Monday.
