MR Keith Chimbangu was officially installed as Chief Nyakuchena during a ceremony held in Mudzi on Wednesday, marking a significant addition to Zimbabwe’s traditional leadership.
The 41-year-old was installed by the Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Honourable Daniel Garwe, who emphasised the critical role of traditional leaders in national governance and development.
“We are happy that as government, we are working very well with our traditional leaders who are key in national development as we move towards Vision 2030,” Honourable Garwe said.
Fellow traditional leaders offered their support and well-wishes to the newly appointed chief.
“I would like to wish our new member all the best as he assumes his new role and urge him to rule with wisdom,” the president of the National Chiefs Council, Chief Mchane Khumalo noted.
“As Mashonaland East, we are excited with what has happened today and welcome the new chief to the province, where we work to transform the lives of our people,” Mashonaland East Provincial Chiefs Council’s chairperson, Chief Nechombo stated.
Chief Nyakuchena is married with three children and is a holder of an Honours Degree in Mathematics and Statistics and a Masters Degree in Strategic Management from the University of Zimbabwe.
