A tribunal set up to investigate allegations of misconduct levelled against High Court judge, Justice Martin Makonese has been sworn in at State House, Harare today.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa appointed the three-member team headed by Retired Judge Justice Simbi Mubako to inquire into the allegations levelled against Justice Makonese and determine his suitability to hold a top judicial office.
The other members are Dr Gift Manyatera and Sarah Moyo.
This comes after complaints were raised against Justice Makonese for allegedly issuing an order in a matter in which he had a financial interest.
The tribunal is expected to finalise its investigation in a period of five months with the report expected to be availed at the conclusion of the inquiry.
