The world is already buying into Zimbabwe’s narrative, with several groups of international travellers including travel agents, sports personalities and international companies flocking to Zimbabwe to sample Africa’s finest hospitality.

KVG, an American-based international logistic company, is the latest to descend on Destination Zimbabwe with about 85 of its employees for a week-long 10th anniversary celebrations in Victoria Falls.

“Zimbabwe and other African countries have been portrayed to be dangerous, but what I see here is it’s not a dangerous country, very kind people and helpful and they will look out for you.

“Zimbabwe is a beautiful country, just driving through the streets you will see a lot of wild animals, you will see a lot of people smiling at you and waving. So far it’s very inviting, we visited some of the beautiful attractions the falls, and we rafted done Zambezi River. We have seen a lot of the natural attractions and the wild animals.

“That’s amazing the Zambezi River, rafting for 20 km, I have never been to rafting in my life, the river taught us to be a team on the river. I heard many years ago that Zimbabwe could be a dangerous country with diseases, but the situation on the ground is totally different.

“Experience so far has been extremely wonderful, everyone we met has been extremely welcoming. Everyone should have an opportunity to come and visit, Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls, absolutely very exciting,” said the team.

KVG Managing Director Europe Mr Thibault Flament outlined his company’s mission to Zimbabwe.

“We are coming with all teams from all over the world, we have people from Europe, Asia, USA. We are coming to Victoria Falls because it is the adventure capital of Africa. As a company we love adventures.”

Meanwhile, the team has donated various items such as window pens, doors and plumbing material, among others, at Monde Primary School outside Victoria Falls.
