HIGHLANDERS Football Club Chief Executive Officer, Brian Moyo, has tendered his resignation just four months into his tenure.
Moyo’s resignation comes in the wake of an internal inquiry launched by the club over allegations of fraud. He is accused of inflating sign-on fees for two players recently signed from Bulawayo Chiefs.
In an official statement, Highlanders Chairperson Kenneth Mhlophe confirmed the resignation and assured stakeholders that the club remains committed to uncovering the truth.
Moyo had succeeded the late Sihlangu Dlodlo, however issues of misappropriating funds are not new at Bosso as last year, independent auditors confirmed this during the club’s Annual General Meeting.
