A grade 3 learner was killed by a hailstorm in the Zvomukonde area of Mberengwa East after she sought shelter in a shop during a storm which also destroyed eight schools, a clinic and over 100 homesteads this Monday.
The hailstorm was accompanied by strong winds.
Mberengwa Assistant District Development Coordinator Mr Arnold Magaya confirmed the sad incident as the Department of Civil Protection Unit is currently assessing the damage.
