VICE President Colonel (Retired) Kembo Mohadi has acknowledged the need to expand the exhibition space at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), affirming government’s commitment to providing resources for the process.

The 65th edition of the ZITF has seen more international exhibitors coming to Zimbabwe in a clear testimony that Zimbabwe’s engagement and re-engagement drive is bearing fruit.

Speaking after touring stands that include ZANU PF, the Livestock section, SMEs and the Office of the President and Cabinet, Vice President Kembo Mohadi said government is ready to assist with resources for expanding the ZITF space.

“The number of foreign exhibitors is growing each year with the quality of goods at different stands showing a great improvement. This shows that the business community is heeding our call to work with government. Again, I have been informed that the ZITF grounds may need expansion to avoid congestion of exhibitors both local and foreign, as such, we stand ready to provide resources to bail the organisers out.”

Since it’s inception, the Second Republic has shown commitment towards the growth of the economy by enacting policies that promote both small to medium-scale enterprises and established business entities.
