THE clash between CAPS United and Scottland FC set for Sunday at Rufaro stadium will headline the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matchday two programme.
A mouth-watering clash is looming, with giants CAPS United hosting an expensively assembled side, Scottland at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday in arguably the match of the second round.
CAPS United picked up a point from their encounter against Green Fuel after coming from behind to force a one-all draw.
Scottland on the other hand had the perfect start, collecting maximum points against Triangle after a defensive mix-up gave them a one-nil victory on the stroke of full-time.
The two sides were very active in the transfer market with Makepekepe bolstering their squad with a few key players that include goalkeeper Stephen Kwaku of Ghana and midfielders Juan Mutudza and Tanaka Shandirwa.
On the other hand, Scottland had a total makeover from the team that was playing in Division One and among their top acquisitions is 2024 Soccer Star of the Year, Walter Musona, top goal scorer, Lynoth Chikuhwa and Khama Billiat.
The match will also see enterprising midfielder Kingsley Mureremba and utility defender Godknows Murirwa facing their former paymasters for the first time since leaving the former champions.
PSL action however starts on Friday with Yadah hosting Chicken Inn at the Heart stadium, with both sides seeking their first win of the season after being held in their opening day matches.
Saturday sees FC Platinum taking on Manica Diamonds in a potentially explosive encounter at Mandava Stadium, ambitious TelOne date Triangle at Ascot Stadium in Gweru, while Bikita Minerals welcome MWOS to Sakubva Stadium.
ZPC Kariba host defending champions, Simba Bhora at Nyamhunga stadium while Herentals take on Dynamos at Rufaro Stadium.
Action continues on Sunday when Highlanders host league debutants Kwekwe United at Barbourfields Stadium.
