Geza expelled from ZANU PF

Story by Tendai Munengwa

THE ruling ZANU PF party has expelled Blessed Geza and several other members for fanning factionalism and undermining the authority of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Briefing the media on outcomes of a Politburo meeting held this Wednesday, ZANU PF Secretary for Legal Affairs, Cde Patrick Chinamasa, who was flanked by National Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha, revealed that Blessed Geza has been expelled from the ruling party.

“The expulsion of Blessed Geza follows his utterances of disloyalty, indiscipline, and undermining the authority of the President in the public domain. After recommendations by the National Disciplinary Committee on his misdemeanor, the politburo endorsed Geza’s expulsion,” Cde Chinamasa noted.

Godwin Gomwe, Gilford Gomwe, and Benjamin Ganyiwa are some of the senior members who have also been dismissed for gross indiscipline and creating WhatsApp groups denigrating the President.

“The Politburo also endorsed the dismissal of Godwin Gomwe, Gilford Gomwe, and Benjamin Ganyiwa, Member of Parliament for Gutu East who will be recalled and a by-election will held in that constituency. These have been expelled for secretly creating WhatsApp groups to attack the President, undermining his authority,” he said.

Harare Provincial Political Commissar, Kudakwashe Damson, has been suspended for three years and removed from his position for insubordination and abuse of office.

Following the expulsion and suspension of the errant members, ZANU PF has adopted a deliberate policy that will see the national commissariat instituting a Social Media Policy to curb abuse of social media by party members.
