BULAWAYO was the place to be for gospel music enthusiasts who converged at the City Hall this Saturday night, to witness the launch of Everton Mlalazi’s second album titled ‘In His Presence Volume 2-His Grace.’
Speaking to ZBC News, Mlalazi explained the inspiration behind the album.
“In his presence Volume one was an introduction to Everton Mlalazi. I did a lot of collaborations on that album, but on this one, I only did one collaboration with Ladysmith Black Mambazo. In terms of messaging, the album chronicles what happened to me when I was growing up. I tried to chronicle my journey since I was young, and how God’s grace has carried me through, to where I am now,” he said.
Backed by Worship Therapy, the award-winning musician who launched his debut album ‘In His Presence Volume One’ two years ago, unveiled his second offering, ‘In His Presence Volume 2-His Grace,’ which comprises 10 Worship songs which includes ‘I need Thee’.
The project which was inspired by his life experiences also features a track called Nyasha dzaJesu.
Another song; Nomakunje features Grammy award-winning music outfit, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, ably represented by Indosakusa at the launch.
Nomakunje sent revellers into a frenzy.
