ESWATINI’s Princess Nancy Ncengencenge has arrived in Zimbabwe ahead of an international business seminar expected to bring together religious organisations, entrepreneurs and investors in support of the country’s economic development agenda.

The seminar, hosted by a local church organisation, seeks to create a collaborative platform where faith-based institutions and the business community can explore partnerships aligned with government’s drive for inclusive economic growth.

Speaking upon her arrival, Princess Ncenge Ncenge said the forum presents an opportunity for regional exchange on business development and best practice.

“I am expected to be here to share best business practices. We hope that this seminar will give us an opportunity to grow our businesses and strengthen cooperation,” she said.

Organisers say the event is designed to promote networking, knowledge-sharing and dialogue on entrepreneurship, investment and macro-economic growth, while highlighting the role of non-state actors in national development.

Chief Executive Officer of the Zimbabwe Women in Business Forum, Ms Shama Mandirewa Nyamadzawo, said the seminar will place emphasis on practical engagement and collaboration.

“There will be a number of activities at the seminar, but most importantly there will be networking and the sharing of insights on business development and macro-economic growth,” she said.

Host Bishop George Jongwe said the initiative reflects a growing recognition of the church’s potential contribution beyond spiritual matters.

“We believe that, beyond the freedom of worship we enjoy, there is a lot the church can contribute to the mainstream economy. That is why we decided to host this international business seminar,” he said.

The seminar also underscores the expanding role of religious organisations as conveners of dialogue between local businesses and international partners, reinforcing efforts to promote investment, entrepreneurship and regional cooperation.
