THE Kingdom of Eswatini has embraced the Museum of African Liberation Project in Zimbabwe, describing the initiative as critical in promoting Pan-Africanism.
The museum, a project birthed to tell the continent’s liberation story, continues to receive buy-in from regional leaders.
Visiting Eswatini Prime Minister, His Excellency Russell Dlamini says the project is a good platform to educate youths on cultural heritage and the important role played by liberation struggle luminaries.
“This is a project that was long overdue. Its importance cannot be overemphasised. It’s a project where we have to direct all our youths to come through and learn from the deep cultural heritage as well as the story of Africa’s struggles against colonialism,” he said.
Zimbabwe is opening the project to Southern African Development Community (SADC) member states to promote preservation of the regional bloc’s culture, history and the broader African narrative.
The Kingdom of Eswatini becomes the latest endorsement to the project.
“We support the project and stand ready to support this good initiative started by Zimbabwe.”
The establishment of the Museum of African Liberation is aligned with the regional bloc’s objective to enhance and consolidate historical, social and cultural heritage.
