Chiragwi joins CAPS United

CAPS United have appointed former Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Takesure Chiragwi as their new head coach.

Club president Farai Jere confirmed the appointment at a press conference in Harare this Friday morning.

Chiragwi will work with Ian Bakala as his assistant after Bakala took charge of the team last season.

The former CAPS United left-back arrives with a sizeable technical team from Ngezi Platinum Stars. Among them are team manager Tinashe Nemgomasha, goalkeepers’ coach Cloudious Gundudza, and performance analysts Garry Muchakata and John Vera.

Chiragwi has also brought in eight players from Ngezi, including defenders Nyasha Gurende and Kudzwai Chigwida, as well as midfielders Richard Hachiro, Talent Chamboko and Macdonald Makuwe.

Forwards Delic Murimba and Obriel Chirinda have also made the switch to the Green Machine.

Chiragwi officially starts his new role on 1 January next year.
